Certificate Requirements:

Course work: Each Certificate program has required as well as elective courses. All information regarding required and elective courses are available on the College of Law website. Please review requirements with the relevant Center/sponsoring program to ensure completion of the required curriculum.
Writing Requirement: A substantial writing project on a Certificate-related topic as outlined in the Certificate requirements. This Certificate writing requirement may also satisfy the College of Law Writing Requirement.
Extracurricular: Certificate programs may require 15-40 hours of extracurricular involvement. Please follow the requirements outlined for your particular Certificate(s).
Grades: Students must be in good standing at the law school (have above a 2.20 GPA) to enroll in any Certificate. Certain Certificate programs also require a minimum GPA of 3.00 across the required courses as well as a minimum of 3.00 (“B”) on the Certificate writing project in order to receive the Certificate. Please review requirements with the relevant Center/sponsoring program.
Verification Form: to be submitted by the published deadline in the semester in which you intend to graduate.Failure to submit a timely verification form may impact eligibility for a Certificate upon graduation.
1. Fall Graduation Deadline: Drop/Add for Fall semester
2. Spring Graduation Deadline: Drop/Add for Spring semester
3. Summer Graduation Deadline: Drop/Add for Summer semester
