Fall Welcome Back Party - September 5, 2013 at 8:00p.m. at Manual's Tavern

WHAT IS IT: A celebratory gathering to bring in the new school year and provide students an opportunity to meet and network with other law students in a casual and fun setting.

Halloween Party - October 24, 2013 at 8:00p.m. at Lost Dog (Buckhead)

WHAT IS IT: A festive gathering where law students dress up in their favorite halloween attire! There will be contests and prizes!! :)

Holiday Party - December 19, 2013

WHAT IS IT: A festive gathering of all of our student organizations to celebrate the end of the year and welcome in the holiday season.

WHAT IS IT: A social gathering to welcome students back to school after the winter break and a talent show.

Law & Business Mixer - Late January/Early February

WHAT IS IT: A mixer with the GSU College of Business.

GSU Law Volunteer Day -- March 2014 (May Be Discontinued)

WHAT IS IT: GSU Law Volunteer day is where we coordinate one day, where all of our student organizations can go out and volunteer with various organizations in the community. Not only is it a great way for students to help out, but it's also a great way for us to show that GSU Law cares about our local communities. :)


Barely Legal World Series -- March 2014

WHAT IS IT: A softball tournament between Georgia State Law, John Marshall Law and Emory Law.

WHERE: Piedmont Park


Law Week -- April 2014

WHEN: Law Week is always held the first full week of April.

WHAT IS IT: During Law Week, every law student organization will sponsor an on campus lunch (12:00 - 1:00 p.m.), dinner (5:00 - 6:00 p.m.), focused on educating and enlightening the student body on important issues in the law or society specific to their legal area. Additionally, each morning and afternoon student organizations will hold informational tables and serve a light breakfast or snack.

KEYNOTE ADDRESS: Every year on the Monday of Law Week, the Student Bar Association hosts the Law Week Keynote speaker during the lunch period. No other events may conflict with the event.

REQUIRED: All student organizations MUST go through the Student Bar Association in reserving their events for law week.

 

Barristers Ball -- April 12, 2014

FOR INFORMATION ON THIS YEARS BARRISTERS BALL PLEASE VISIT THE BARRISTERS BALL WEBSITE.

WHEN: Generally, Barristers Ball is always held the Friday or Saturday at the end of Law Week.

WHAT IS IT: Barristers Ball is usually referred to as "Law Prom". It's the biggest social event of the year. Every law student who purchases a ticket is invited to attend along with a guest. Typically the night involves refreshments, light h'orderves and a DJ playing music. Additionally we generally announce Senior Superlatives and the upcoming SBA Board Election Results. Dress is generally black tie optional. Women are free to wear long or short dresses and men are free to wear suits or tux'.

WHAT IS IT: An opportunity for GSU law students to network and mingle with students from other Georgia law schools.
