Thad Woody, partner with Kessler & Solomiany LLC, where his practice focuses exclusively on family law matters. Woody has extensive experience representing clients in matters relating to divorce, child support, child custody, prenuptial agreements, legitimation and paternity actions. He has successfully represented a variety of clients including notable entertainers, athletes and high-profile executives. Woody is certified as a Guardian ad Litem and has performed pro bono services on behalf of the Atlanta Lawyers Foundation.
He is an active member of the American Bar Association, where he serves as Chair-Elect for the Family Law Section. Woody was appointed co-chair for the Continuing Legal Education Committee to the ABA Family Law Section and is responsible for planning legal education opportunities for members of the section throughout the country.
Woody has been named a Georgia Rising Star by Atlanta Magazine and was nationally ranked one of the top 10 under 40 in the field of family law by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys. He received a B.A. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he served as senior class president. Woody earned his juris doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law. Prior to law school, Woody completed a fellowship with the Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation. Following law school he clerked for Chief Justice Sarah E. Parker of the North Carolina Supreme Court.
Woody is a member of the Georgia State Bar, North Carolina State Bar and the Supreme Court of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
