Shenita Brazelton, lecturer of law, teaches in the Lawyering: Foundations program at the College of Law. The program teaches legal writing skills utilizing practice-based problem solving through legal analysis.
Before joining the faculty of the College of Law, Professor Brazelton served as a staff attorney for the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals where she drafted opinions primarily in the areas of family and juvenile law. She is admitted to practice law in Alabama and Georgia.
Professor Brazelton earned a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and a B.A. from Tuskegee University in political science where she graduated summa cum laude. She also earned a Ph.D. in political science from Georgia State University. Prior to serving as a lecturer of law, Professor Brazelton worked several years as a professor of political science where she examined issues pertaining to law and policy.
