Shahabuddin Ibrahimkhail is a Limited Term Faculty member at the College of Law. He is responsible for assisting law school clinics.
Prior to joining the Georgia State University College of Law in 2023, he was a senior traditional justice specialist and worked for American Checchi Consulting Inc. Ibrahimkhail served as a legal trainer and deputy team lead with Pacific Architecture & Engineering (PAE). This project was later restructured under the auspices of the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) of the U.S. Department of State.He also served as a legal trainer, and was tasked with educating judges, prosecutors, and defense lawyers throughout the country about Afghan law. When IDLO started institutional capacity building, Ibrahimkhail was appointed senior institutional capacity building adviser and became the main liaison for the Ministry of Justice in March 2015. Additionally, he served as a curriculum analyst with IDLO in Afghanistan from 2016 to 2018. He then worked for American Checchi Consulting Inc. His work for Checchi included holding workshops for traditional-justice-sector actors on Afghan law.
He holds a master's degree in Democratic Governance and Rule of Law from Ohio Northern University. In his free time, he enjoys watching TV shows and walking.
