Patrice J. Williams is the director of development for Georgia State University College of Law. In this role, she is responsible for spearheading the Law Annual Campaign programs, overseeing the Law Alumni Council, organizing alumni activities, and securing major gifts.
Williams brings a wealth of experience in establishing and nurturing high-value relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Her expertise lies in designing and executing organizational strategies that maximize operational impacts with core competencies in strategy development, design thinking, DEI, and fundraising. Williams' commitment to fostering meaningful relationships will play a pivotal role in amplifying the college’s fundraising initiatives and bolstering its engagement with its vibrant alumni community.
In her previous role at Spelman College, she showcased her fundraising and alumni engagement expertise. Williams was instrumental in securing significant gifts and sponsorships, as well as designing and executing innovative alumni programs. As the Assistant Director of Career Planning and Development, she led fundraising initiatives and played a pivotal role in increasing student engagement. Her leadership also extended to the classroom where she serves as an instructor, imparting knowledge on leadership and design thinking to students.
Beyond her academic contributions, Williams has an expansive career ranging from strategic design consultancy to real estate brokerage. Her approach, rooted in design thinking, has been instrumental in brokering substantial property acquisitions, reshaping organizational strategies, enhancing stakeholder engagement, and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Williams holds an MBA from Marylhurst University and a Bachelor of Arts from Spelman College. She has also earned certifications from the University of Oxford and Stanford University.
