Lauren Allred is the assistant director of communications for Georgia State University College of Law. She began her career at Georgia State University in 2017 with the College of the Arts as a public relations specialist.
Before GSU, Lauren worked as a public relations representative for Jackson Marketing Group in Greenville, S.C., managing PR campaigns, white papers, and technical manuscripts for various clients in the transportation logistics and enthusiast brand industries.
While in Greenville, she also served as the lead curator and communications coordinator for the T.L. Norris Gallery. In this position, she curated monthly exhibitions around various conceptual themes for solo artists and groups and coordinated all related events and communications for public and private shows.
Allred has worked with various federal clients as a strategic communications practitioner at Deloitte Consulting, including the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Homeland Security, and TSA. She developed a communications strategy for the interagency program office charged with acquiring and deploying a next-generation electronic health record designed to ease information-sharing between DoD, VA, and civilian partner organizations. On behalf of the program office, she also led the development, planning, and execution of a bi-annual Medical Informatics Conference to connect 35 NATO delegates representing 17 nations for the NATO MedCIS expert panel.
