David J. Hungeling (J.D. ’00) is a trial lawyer who handles a variety of civil cases with a focus on complex commercial litigation. Before founding Hungeling Law in 2003, Hungeling was an associate in the Securities Litigation Group at Alston & Bird LLP in Atlanta.
He has successfully tried cases—including several multi-million dollar verdicts—in Georgia, Tennessee and Kentucky involving breach of contract, investor fraud, RICO, breach of fiduciary duty, nuisance, trespass, contempt, Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA) claims, legal malpractice and shareholder rights issues. He was recognized in the Georgia Super Lawyers Top 100 List, 2016-2017.
Hungeling received his J.D., magna cum laude, in 2000 from Georgia State Law, where he was managing editor of the Georgia State University Law Review. He received his B.A. in 1995 from the University of Notre Dame, where he served as student body president, and his M.A. in 1997 from the University of Portland.
