Angelia O’Neal, a native of Detroit, Mich. Angelia joined Georgia State University in June 2017. She began working in the Center for Law, Health & Society as an administrative specialist in September 2017. O’Neal holds a bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising and marketing from Eastern Michigan University and a master’s degree in business administration, acquisition and contract management from Strayer University.
She brings extensive experience in the areas of non-profit leadership, marketing, event planning and public affairs. As the founder of a non-profit workforce development agency, O’Neal served as the executive director since 2004, managing the daily operations, and providing life skills training and career services to more than 1,500 young adults throughout metro Atlanta. O’Neal is a transformational servant leader and is the recipient of the 2016 President George H.W. Bush National Points of Light Award.
She has been featured on WSB-TV’s People 2 People, CBS46’s Public Affairs on Peach and Positively Georgia, and in Urban Lux Magazine. From 2011-2017, O’Neal was the international radio talk show host and has also worked in the capacity of Assistant Marketing Director for Hendon Properties at Greenbriar Mall in Atlanta. She is a freelance designer and enjoys event planning and designing promotional marketing flyers. One of her favorite quote is from Melinda Gates, “A woman with a voice is by definition a strong woman. But the search to find that voice can be remarkably difficult.
