Urban Fellows Lecture: Aubrey Villines and Jeff Filipovits, Land Use Law and Sexually Oriented Businesses

The January Urban Fellows lecture will feature attorneys Aubrey Villines and Jeff Filipovits, and the topic will be land use law and sexually oriented businesses. Mr. Villines is a civil trial lawyer at Magarahan, Villines & Honis, and is currently representing The Pink Pony in the lawsuit against the City of Brookhaven over the sexually oriented business ordinance passed in 2013 that bans nude dancing and alcohol. Mr. Filipovits is his associate, and a graduate of GSU Law; he was also the recipient of the 2010 Humanitarian of the Year Award from the Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network for his pro bono work for a mental health center in Atlanta.
