The 19th annual Summer Academy in International Commercial Arbitration will take place in Central Europe this coming May and June.
Students earn six credit hours on the successful completion of the program, which consists of two seminars on international and comparative aspects of the law of international commercial arbitration and the arbitral rules of major arbitration courts in the United States, Austria, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic and Hungary.
The 2013 Summer Academy will be based in Linz, Austria, and will include visits to:
Prague, Czech Republic:
Krumau, Czech Republic;
Salzburg, Austria; and
The academy begins Tuesday, May 21, and will conclude Sunday, June 23. The application deadline is February 4th..
Program costs (EXCLUDING tuition) are less than $100 a day. In addition to regular in-state tuition and fees, Summer Academy students are responsible for a program fee of $3,300, which covers the cost of accommodations, transportation, excursions and many meals.
Under a special arrangement with the Georgia Board of Regents, non-Georgia residents will be permitted to enroll in the Summer Academy at in-state tuition rates. An administrative fee of $250 will apply.
Interested students are invited to meet with professor E.R. Lanier and program alumni at orientation meetings at noon and 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16. Pizza will be provided.
