Consortium on Negotiation and Conflict Resolution

The Consortium on Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (CNCR) is dedicated to the acquisition and dissemination of knowledge about conflict prevention, management, and resolution. Over the years, CNCR’s research efforts have focused on the cutting edge of the field while maintaining a dynamic and vital bridge between theory and practice.

Our staff and affiliated faculty regularly publish and present research findings at academic and practitioner symposia and conferences, including many sponsored by CNCR. As an inter-institutional consortium, we support the degree programs of affiliated institutions rather than offering our own.

CNCR assists institutions of higher education seeking to better handle campus conflict and government entities engaged in collaborative governance of large-scale, complex public policy and environmental problems in finding consultation and large scale facilitation providers.

The consortium was established in 1987 through a grant from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. It is supported by the University System of Georgia and based at Georgia State Law.
