Fill out the required online application form through LSAC. There is no application fee for Georgia State Law. Keep a copy of your application for your personal files.
Send official school transcripts to LSAC for inclusion in your Law School Report. You will need to submit academic transcripts from each college and/or university attended regardless of whether or not a degree was conferred.
Transcript Request Forms are available through your account. Schools should send your official documents to:
LLM/MJ Credential Assembly Service
662 Penn Street
Newtown PA 18940-8511
Note: It can take up to two weeks for LSAC to process your domestic transcripts after they arrive. Documents from undergraduate and graduate institutions located outside the United States may take longer to process. LSAC will assess a one-time fee of $85 for the Document Assembly Service.
- Unofficial transcripts are sufficient for an admission decision.
- If you are extended an offer of admission, you will need to submit official transcripts before the start of courses.
- Documents such as self-printed academic histories, web-based academic evaluations, or anything handwritten are not acceptable for an admission decision.
Submit two letters of recommendation, no more than two years old, through your LSAC Law School Report.
These letters should speak to your ability to be successful in a graduate program. Professional and academic letters are strongly recommended. If you have been out of school for multiple years, employer references will suffice.
Instructions for this service, which are included in your CAS registration, are available at www.lsac.org.
Request that LSAC send your report to Georgia State Law. A $45 report fee will be added to your shopping cart.
Applicants who have earned an undergraduate or graduate degree outside of the United States or Canada are required to participate in the International Transcript Authentication and Evaluation Service (ITAES) through LSAC. This service authenticates, translates and evaluates your official academic records and will be included in the Document Assembly Service. LSAC will assess a one-time fee of $135 for the ITAES.
- A minimum TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 100 on the internet-based test
- A minimum of 7.5 on the academic version of the IELTS (International English Language Testing System).
LSAC accepts score reports for either TOEFL or IELTS exams and, upon receipt of an official score report from the testing service, will include your scores in your law school report. To have your TOEFL score sent to LSAC, provide ETS with the institution code (8395) when you place your order for a copy of the score report to be sent. To have your IELTS score sent, contact your test center and ask that your official score report be sent to LSAC for electronic download.
