Georgia State University College of Law and the American Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics invite attendees to a reception and symposium, Feb. 15 - 16, 2024, remembering and honoring the life and vision of Charity Scott, Professor of Law Emerita, Founding Director of the Center for Law, Health & Society (CLHS) and Co-Founder of the Health Law Partnership (HeLP). CLHS is celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2024, having grown from Professor Scott’s first course to the No. 1 health law program in the U.S.
Professor Scott launched many health law practice and teaching careers and developed nearly as many health law initiatives. For more than three decades, she worked with students, practitioners and faculty in healthcare law, public health and bioethics.
In recognition of her invaluable contributions to the field of health law, teaching and the profession, the symposium will include tributes and substantive presentations across these topics. After the symposium, articles on these tributes and presentations will be compiled in a special edition of the Journal of Law, Medicine & Ethics and a symposium featuring these works.
Register now to attend the symposium.
