The College of Law Spring Break is scheduled for March 13-17 this year. Make it count by choosing to participate in the Alternative Spring Break program. The deadline to apply is Friday, February 3, at 5 p.m.
Trips this year will focus on how community lawyering can improve housing stability and educational outcomes for elementary-aged kids in Atlanta, what lawyers and activists can do in collaboration with residents to promote economic development for low-income communities of color in Savannah; participants will work with survivors of family violence and a host of advocates will partner to empower survivors to know their rights and act upon them, and focus on how rural litigants' needs and experiences navigating the legal system may differ from access to justice issues in urban settings.
All participants earn 40 hours of pro bono service! Space is limited, and an application is required. The application deadline is Friday, February 3, at 5 p.m.
