GSU Student Lawyer’s Trial Association Wins Hofstra Medical Legal Mock Trial Tournament

The GSU Student Lawyer’s Trial Association is proud to announce they are the Champions of the 2021 Hofstra Medical Legal Mock Trial Tournament! This Competition is unique in that it is the only trial competition in the country in which a medical school and a law school collaborate to simulate real-life expert testimony by doctors. Our team faced UCLA, Houston, Campbell, FSU and Fordham to make the Final Round against South Texas. A tough fought round, but we edged them out 4-3 to take home the trophy! The team consisted of 3L Carson Wynn and 2Ls Will Barillas and Kerry Heneghan. Will Barillas also took home the award for Best Overall Advocate (Competition) and an Outstanding Advocate (Preliminary Rounds).
