The Office of Equity and Civil Rights Compliance is searching for law students to play the role of attorneys in our upcoming employment law mock trial on Friday, November 12th from 1pm – 4pm. The trial will be held virtually.
The purpose of this mock trial is to give GSU students and employees the opportunity to see what happens when alleged disability discrimination in the workplace results in litigation. We will explore what happens when a daycare employee is terminated after experiencing an epileptic seizure at work. Students, working in pairs, will be provided a mock trial problem to prepare and orally argue on behalf of their client. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain trial experience and showcase your talents in front of a Labor & Employment expert, who will be serving as the judge for the Mock Trial. Interested students may apply with a short statement of interest (300 words or less) and obtain more information by emailing email@example.com by October 8th, 2021.
