Apply for permission to take Seminar on Original Meaning: Linguistic Analysis of Legal Texts next fall, taught by Professor Clark D. Cunningham. Students learn how to use cutting-edge technology to research original meaning of constitutional and statutory provisions and may turn their work into published articles and/or amicus briefs. Course of particular value to students interested in a judicial clerkship. Prerequisites are Con Law I and II and Crim Pro: Investigations but can be waived through online application for permission to take course. Open to rising 1Ls and 2Ls. Apply before April 7 registration.
