The Advocacy Program needs third year students with a demonstrated interest in trial advocacy to assist the Advocacy instructors this coming spring semester. These Litigation Associates are primarily used to critique student performances in making opening statements, direct and cross-examinations, and so forth. (The idea is to give the Advocacy students more practice on their feet).
We need the Litigation Associates for six class sessions during the semester (Weeks 1, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12). Associates will be paid a flat fee of $250 per section. In addition to the obvious resume value of this position, the Litigation Associates will work closely with our outstanding Advocacy faculty. The associates will be assigned to a specific section. If you would like to work two sections (and double your fee), please so indicate on your application.
Students who wish to apply should e-mail their resume, and the grade that they received in Advocacy, to Cindy Perry by Friday, Nov. 6 at 5 p.m.
Please include a list of all the Advocacy sections you would be available to cover. The more sections you are available to cover, the greater the likelihood that we will find a place for you. The days and times for the Advocacy sections, along with the instructor, are posted on the spring schedule. All Advocacy classes will be online this spring.
