The Pro Bono Program is looking for a 2L class representative! In addition to assisting the student director as needed, class reps are responsible for recruiting students from their respective classes to volunteer for particular projects and serve as the primary point of contact for students as they work on projects. Class reps are also expected to encourage volunteers to record their hours accurately for purposes of Pro Bono & Public Service Recognition. The 2L class rep will also serve on the Public Interest Law Association (PILA) board, performing the function of class rep for both the Pro Bono Program and for PILA. Class reps receive a $250 stipend for each semester.
Please email your resume and a short statement of interest to Alex Estroff, student director of the Pro Bono Program, by Saturday, August 1. The statement need not be long, but should convey your reasons for wanting to get involved and why you think pro bono service is important.
