College of Law Normal Business Hours
- Monday – Thursday 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
- Friday 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
GSU Faculty & Staff
Access allowed during normal building operating hours via PantherCard / swipe access*.
Access is extended to faculty and staff guests or family members when accompanied by the faculty or staff member. Guests or family who arrive at the front desk seeking to visit a faculty or staff member, with or without an appointment, will gain access only if the desk person on duty calls the faculty or staff member and receives confirmation of the visit. The faculty/staff member may choose to come and retrieve the visitor or direct that visitor to come to his or her office.
GSU Students
Access allowed during normal building operating hours via PantherCard / swipe access*.
Access is extended to family members when accompanied by the student.
*The front desk will be provided with a roster of all College of Law faculty, staff, and students. Employees or students who have forgotten their Panthercard will give their name to the desk attendant along with a picture ID, and be granted access to the building upon confirmation that their name is on a list.
Final Exam Period Exception
The building will be closed to the general public and students not enrolled in College of Law during the final exam period. Members of the bar, including alumni, may access the Law Library with their bar cards. Those needing government documents may do so by appointment only. The Law Library will remain open until midnight during this time.
Library Visitors: Members of the Public with Special Access
- Members of the state bar with valid State Bar Card
- Librarians with valid employee ID
- Visitors from University System of Georgia schools , and ARCHE schools with a valid college ID
- Georgia State Alumni Association members with Alumni Association ID
- Employees of the State of Georgia with valid employee ID cards
- ABA accredited law school members with law school ID
- Individuals with an unexpired Law Library Special Access card signed by the Associate Dean for Library and Information Services or the Associate Director for Public Services.
The aforementioned individuals, upon showing a valid / appropriate form of identification, shall be granted access to the building. They will not be required to leave any form of identification at the front desk of the building.
Library Visitors: Members of the Public
Individuals not included in either group listed above are considered members of the public. These individuals will be allowed in the building 8:30 am – 6:00 pm Monday-Thursday, and 8:30 am – 5:00 pm on Fridays. Members of the public needing access to government documents may do so during public hours or by appointment. For more information, please contact the Reference Desk at 404-413-9102.
Individuals in this category will be required to sign in at the front desk, leave an unexpired government ID with picture, and be provided with a Visitor badge prior to entrance.
