Rob Bexley: Editor in ChiefYou look into the mirror in the morning to see someone who is very tired and has a scruffy beard because you are too lazy to shave. Your dog, a neurotic black lab with itchy skin named Tex, has to go to outside, but he’s patient. On the long drive to school, you must continually re-motivate yourself. You remind yourself that on your father’s side you will be the family’s third generation of attorney; on your mother’s side, you are the only of four adult children to graduate high school. They are all counting on you. You listen to some heavy metal music on your iPod and then shuffle to the next song which is by Tom Waits. You are almost to school and you are looking forward to possibly getting to see a movie or playing some table top board gaming over the weekend, your favorite hobbies when you are not studying or working on the Docket. You finally park your Prius and you tell yourself that you are Rob Bexley, Editor in Chief of the Docket, and today will be a fine day.
Jane Stebbins: Managing EditorJane is a 3L with an interest in land use and environment. When she's not frantically pounding knowledge or writing incisive prose, she can be seen rocking the bass with her band, The Jane and Scott Show, or bringing experimental vegan baked goodies to try out on her law school guinea pigs, er, colleagues. Jane's other blog can be found at www.js-show.com
Andy Hagenbush: News EditorAndy Hagenbush is a 3L with an Industrial Engineering degree from Georgia Tech. Andrew is involved in the Environmental Law Society, The Docket, STLA, the Oglethorpe Society, and SELS. Andrew lives with his wife and two dogs, is a huge Indianapolis Colts fan, and enjoys long walks on the beach.
Kevin Jeselnik: Features EditorKevin Jeselnik didn't sign up for this. After 5 years in the cold, hard real world working as an editor and designer on numerous trade publications dealing with commercial real estate, he entered law school to escape from the toil of journalism. It didn't entirely work out. Now he's fallen back into the welcoming embrace of The Docket as protection against the myriad unknowable challenges law school offers.
Jennifer McCall: Opinions EditorWhen not in class or hiding in a corner of the law library, Jennifer stays busy joyfully mothering her three daughters and spending time with her wonderfully supportive husband and her amazing friends.
Eleni Bafas: Online EditorEleni Bafas is a 2L who jumped at the opportunity to get involved with The Docket. In keeping with the stereotypes that inextricably accompany her Georgia Tech degree she volunteered to maintain the website.
Ian Sansot: Marketing DirectorIan Sansot is a 3L with a degree in Philosophy and Religion. In line with the serious gravity of his degree, he soon began making fun of famous court cases by utilizing the popular internet meme, lolcats, and thus created the weekly 'lawlcat' for the Docket. Continuing his involvement with the newspaper, he is now the Marketing Director, a job he describes as: "yelling at people." This year he is also the Vice President of the Federalist Society and, as time allows, attends classes.
Madeleine Peake : Pro Bono Editor Madeleine Peake is a 3L with a Journalism degree from the University of Oklahoma (GO SOONERS!). She has experience in print and broadcast journalism and was excited about the opportunity to work for the Docket when she came to law school. She is interested in workers' compensation, medical malpractice, employment and personal injury law. Her favorite part of law school is being in STLA, writing for the Docket, and getting groups of friends together to give back to the community. Please contact her anytime if you want someone to do charity work with! :)
Ali Makins: PhotographerAlison Makins is a 3L with interest in photography, music, poker, shenanigans, literature, travel, and other non-law-related things. After being presented with the plethora of extra-curricular activities available at GSU COL, she decided that taking photos for The Docket appeared to be the most awesome non-law-related yet law-school-affliated activity available, so she is more than happy to be of service!
