The best restaurants in Atlanta on a law student budget
As a self-professed food connoisseur, "09 Elite" food critic for Yelp.com, and broke law student, I am constantly balancing the need to stay within a reasonable budget and the desire for high quality food. In the six years that I have lived in Atlanta, I have dined in over 100 restaurants around the Atlanta metropolitan area. I have compiled a list of the restaurants with the best food at budget prices. My ratings are based solely on the quality of food--the elements of which are flavor, texture, freshness, saltiness, and likelihood to cause food poisoning.

GSU Moot Court Team Takes 9th and 10th place in Emory's Civil Rights and Liberties Competition
A news article by Jon Page.
Out of 24 teams, our two GSU Moot Court teams finished 9th and 10th in Emory's Annual Civil Rights and Liberties Moot Court competition this past weekend. Our 9th place team includes Melissa Marietta, a 3L, Eli Bennett and Chris DeNeve, both 2Ls. Our 10th place team includes Stephanie Stewart and Samantha Gunnison, both 2Ls. We are very proud of them. They all worked really hard and both teams made a strong showing on behalf of GSU.
Children In Need of Services (CHINS)
A news article by Francine Acevedo
Francine AcevedoJohnny was afraid to go to school because he did not want anyone to see the bruises and cuts from his father’s beatings. Skipping one day of school was not so bad, so he decided to skip a few more days. Eventually, Johnny, a star student, was not going to school at all. He was embarrassed by the way he looked and could not face the teasing at school, since he already had a bully at home. The school officials referred him to the local juvenile court for his truancy, who adjudicated him an “unruly” child. The court tried to work with his dad to make sure Johnny got to school, but according to his dad, he was too “rebellious” and wouldn’t go. If the court knew what was really happening at home, maybe Johnny and his father could have received services that would have helped him stay in school.
