The original title I came up with for this blog seems a bit like the title of a song my high school beau’s band would have written. In my defense, it was conjured up in a Harvey Woodley-induced delirium. (Thank goodness for astute editors!)

While writing my law school admission essay, I came upon the same piece of advice again and again: Never, EVER, gush about about how you’ve always wanted to be a lawyer. Taking this advice was a snap for me, because I’ve spent my life trying not to become a lawyer.
