Using the Courtroom Camera
The courtroom cameras are found in rooms 140 and 658. Open the A/V closet by the main entrance to the room. You will use these VCRs to record.
The top VCR is the primary VCR for recording. The second VCR makes a second copy (i.e. if plaintiff and defendant each need their own copy of what's being recorded). For a single user, insert a VHS tape into the top deck in the rack.
Make sure the channel is set to L1. The channel change button is located directly to the left of the blue button the center of the VCR. If you are recording using both VCRs, don't forget to check the channel on the second VCR, as well. They both must be set to L1.
At the Crestron Control Panel
The bench Crestron control panel provides you with camera and video recording controls. Touch the screen to begin. Touch the screen again to turn on the system.
Press the Cameras button to see the camera controls.
Select the camera view preset you would like to use. Once you've selected your camera preset, press the Live button to send the live feed to the VCRs in the A/V closet.
Recording to the VCR
When you're ready to begin recording, press the Start Recording button. After you press the Start Recording button, the VCRs in the A/V closet will begin recording.
On the Crestron control panel, the Start Recording button automatically turns into the Stop Recording button when recording begins.
When you're finished, press the Stop Recording button. To view what you've recorded, you will need to use the VCR in the podium to watch the tape.
