IS&T is postponing the rollout of Microsoft's Windows Vista Enterprise operating system (Vista) on campus, as Microsoft has extended support of Windows XP through 2014. This decision helps to ensure that Vista's compatibility, security, hardware and other issues are addressed prior to deployment. IS&T will continue to evaluate Microsoft Vista with the hope that the recently released Service Pack 1 for Vista resolves some of these outstanding issues.
