Why archive your mail?
* If you are already archiving mail, get assistance from the help desk at extension 3-9111 to move your current archived mail to another location if you need to.
Set your archive folder - If you have never archived any mail before, you will need to setup an archive folder to store your archived messages.

1. In GroupWise, click on "Tools" -> "Options." |

| 2. In the "Options" window, double-click on "Environment." | ![]() |
| 3. In the "Environment" window, click on the "File Location" tab. Under "Archive Directory", type "h:\gwarchive\" and click "OK". Note: You may be prompted about a directory not existing. Just say OK and allow GroupWise to setup this for you. |

| 4. Complete! Your archive is now setup on your H network drive. | |
| To archive, select the message or messages you want to archive and then right-click on the selection. A menu will drop down and you will want to choose "Move to Archive". The message will be moved to the archive within a few seconds. | ![]() |
| To access your archive, go to the "File" menu and select "Open Archive" (Note: You can leave your archive by going to the "File" menu and selecting "Open Archive" - which will be checked when you are in your archive). | ![]() |

Un-archiving is very simple too. While you are viewing your archived messages, all you need to do is select the message or messages you want to un-archive and then right-click on the selection. A menu will drop down and you will want to choose "Move to Archive" (this will be checked to show that it is already archived). That's it! Your message(s) will be put back into the GroupWise system. |
