Keep your office in an orderly state. Avoid leaving personal items or books and other materials in your office. If you do, please place them in a drawer or under the cabinets.
The last person in the office each evening needs to place their trash can in the hallway as they leave.
All food items must be placed in the kitchen trash container.
If you are going to be out of the office for more than a couple of days, inform the Administrative Secretary. This will allow her to tell your clients when they can expect you back.
Use your own discretion in contacting your clients from your personal phone. We advise that you refrain from this unless absolutely necessary. Otherwise your client may potentially abuse his or her access to you and encroach upon your personal time. You may block your name and number by pressing *67 before placing a call from your personal phone.
Phone calls to and from clients and third parties must be recorded in Amicus. Even failed attempts at telephone contact must be recorded in Amicus.
Do not use Clinic phones for long-distance personal calls.
Student attorneys may not use Clinic equipment, supplies or other resources for non-Clinic purposes. The use of Clinic equipment and resources is restricted to Clinic work.
When you are the last person in the Clinic area ensure that all copiers, coffee maker, toaster oven and space heaters are turned off at the end of the day . Make sure that the 3 file cabinets that house client files and all doors to all offices are locked, all lights turned off and the Administrator's office is properly locked. Make sure to return the key to the locker.
