Advising and Academic Assistance

The College of Law assigns faculty advisors to each student upon his or her entry to the College.  Each full-time faculty member or law librarian serves as the official advisor to a small number of students throughout those students' years at the College.  Students may approach their faculty advisors for guidance in course selection, exam preparation strategies, and employment opportunities in law.  Consult the lists below to determine your faculty advisor.

Students often seek out professors who teach in a particular subject area or who advise a particular student organization. In addition to a student's assigned advisor, these professors are available for guidance and advice.  Most professors have set office hours each week when they are available for drop-in visits;  students may also call or email professors to arrange for an appointment.

If a student has a question or concern and is not sure to whom to address it, contact Associate Deans Sobelson or Timmons.
