STLA NEWS 2009-2010: INFORMATION MEETING NEXT WED. AT NOON RM 230 STLA NEWS 2007-08: Nov. 17, 2007: Congratulations to Charlie Cauble, Jacqueline Couturier, John Gunn,   Spencer Smith, LisaMarie Bristol, Stephanie Mason, Joseph Osterneck and Clay Strayhorn, who, along with their coaches, Paige Boorman & Brandon Taylor made the FINAL FOUR at the William Daniel Mock Trial Competition at the Fulton County Courthouse this weekend! The team missed becoming finalists by one slim vote. Additional congratulations to STLA member, Keith Hayasaka, for winning the Keenan Kids Foundation's Closing Argument Competition.  Law students throughout Georgia participated in this event, held annually in order to bring awareness to legal issues involving children. Also, Meg Robinson, another STLA member, came in fourth place, allowing Georgia State students to win two of the four winning spots. October 20, 2007: Huge CONGRATULATIONS to Ernessa Brawley, Zach North, Holly Muehlmann & Mitchell Freehauf, who, along with their coaches, Cheryl Champion and Tom Jones, WON the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Competition in Key West this weekend!  Zach North was also selected best advocate of the competition!! Summer 2007: Congratulations to STLA coach and former team member Brian Fortner for being elected the new Solicitor General of Douglas County.
