Vickie Brown has accumulated 19 years of business and student services experience from employment in both private and public legal institutions. She earned a B.S. in business from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash., in 1981.
During her tenure as business manager at the University of Puget Sound School of Law in Tacoma, Wash., (now Seattle University School of Law), she was responsible for administering the law school budget and managing student accounts, bookstore, copy center and mailroom services. Brown joined Georgia State Law in August 1988. She served as program administrator for the Externship and Litigation Programs for seven years. Brown was appointed acting director of Career Services in 1996 and director in 1997.
Brown is committed to gaining exposure for the College of Law in the legal community through active interaction and outreach with legal employers, participating in local and state bar associations activities and visible membership in the National Association for Law Placement. She was appointed to the NALP board of directors in 2002 and served for two years.
