Tina Shah is Assistant General Counsel for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. Ms. Shah oversees the legal support for Turner Sports’ television and new media businesses, including NBA on TNT, NCAA March Madness, MLB on TBS, pga.com, bleacherreport.com and NBA digital venture, among others. Her responsibilities include negotiation of, and counseling under, rights agreements with sports leagues, content production and clearance, technology/new media matters and talent agreements. She previously assisted Professor Jack F. Williams in teaching Sports Law in the fall of 2013 and has served as a guest speaker at Emory University’s School of Law.
Before joining Turner in 2001, Ms. Shah was an associate at Alston & Bird in Atlanta, focusing on commercial litigation. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Florida and a Juris Doctor degree from Emory University. Ms. Shah is a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications, the Georgia Bar Association and the Sports Lawyers Association.
