Biography

Samantha Johnson (J.D. ’03), senior associate general counsel for Grady Health System, advises, counsels, educates hospital employees and medical staff regarding the legal aspects of patient care; ethics; human resources; compliance and regulatory matters. Johnson also drafts and reviews contracts and policies. She represents Grady in litigation in state and federal courts and manages outside attorneys in the handling of litigation files.

Prior to her in-house career, she handled civil litigation, insurance coverage and insurance defense matters as an associate at Goodman, McGuffey, Lindsey & Johnson LLP and Mabry & McClelland LLP. Johnson also served as a contract attorney at Slappey & Sadd LLC. She is licensed to practice law in Georgia and South Carolina.
