Madison Burnett (J.D. ’09) is an associate in the Insurance Group at Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi LLP, where she serves business and insurance industry clients involved in complex contractual disputes and commercial litigation. She frequently represents pro bono clients through the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation and was their 2012 Volunteer of the year.
An Atlanta native, Burnett graduated cum laude from Georgia State University School of Law in 2009, where she served as associate editor of the Law Review, founded the school’s chapter of Law Students for Reproductive Justice and served as that organization’s national board president. She received the first GSU Health Law Partnership Legal Service Clinic Award and the CALI award for Civil Procedure. Before law school she worked for the City Government of New York in welfare and food stamps policy.
