Biography

I am an Adjunct Professor at Georgia State University College of Law,
where I teach Sports Law.  I previously assisted Professor Jack F.
Williams in teaching Sports Law in the fall of 2013.  I earned my law
degree from Indiana University (Bloomington) in 1992, graduating Magna
Cum Laude, and earned my undergraduate degree in industrial management
with a minor in industrial engineering from Purdue University in 1989.

I currently serve as senior vice president and associate general counsel
for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.  In this capacity, I manage all
legal matters for Turner Entertainment Networks, including TBS, TNT,
truTV and Turner Classic Movies, and Turner Sports, including all of
Turner’s television sports programming (e.g., NBA on TNT, MLB, on TBS)
and sports digital properties (e.g., NBA Digital, PGA.Com).  I also
manage Turner’s corporate legal matters, including mergers and
acquisitions, digital distribution and transactions, and rights and
policy matters, and oversee the administration and operations of the
Turner legal department.  I previously served as Team Counsel to the
Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Hawks and the Atlanta Thrashers, and Chief
Counsel to the Goodwill Games and to World Championship Wrestling.  I am
based in Atlanta and I report to Louise Sams, executive vice president
and general counsel for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS, Inc.).
Prior to joining Turner Entertainment Group in 1996, I served as an
associate at Troutman Sanders law firm in Atlanta.  I am a member of the
American Bar Association, the Georgia State Bar and the Sports Lawyers
Association.
