Biography

Deborah Schander, coordinator of digital projects and outreach, joined the Law Library in August 2010. She teaches Legal Bibliography and International & Foreign Legal Research. Schander maintains the College of Law’s institutional repository, the Law Library website, and the Library’s blog, The Blackacre Times, amongst other digital initiatives. She also coordinates the Library’s outreach and marketing efforts.

From 2010-2014, Schander was a reference/student services librarian for the Law Library. Prior to coming to Georgia State, she was the reference and electronic services librarian at the University of La Verne College of Law in Southern California. She also interned at Georgia State’s Law Library in 2006.

Schander received her J.D. and M.L.I.S. from Florida State University in 2007. She is an active member of the American Association of Law Libraries, including its southeastern and Atlanta chapters.
