NIFTEP Workshops

The National Institute for Teaching Ethics and Professionalsim (NIFTEP) conducts bi-annual workshops that bring together leading academics and practitioners involved teaching legal ethics and promoting professionalism.  Workshops are cosponsored by the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Professionalism. The Spring 2011 NIFTEP workshop was also cosponsored by the Ethics Across the Professions Initiative at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.  The Fall 2011 NIFTEP workshop was also cosponsored by the National Organization of Bar Counsel.  The Spring 2012 NIFTEP workshop was co-sponsored by the American Bar Association Criminal Justice Section and the Summer 2012 NIFTEP workshop was co-sponsored by the Canadian Association for Legal Ethics.

Participants in NIFTEP workshops are designated NIFTEP Fellows.  There is no charge for workshop registration, lodging, or meals during the workshop.  Travel stipends may be available based on need.  

Fall 2013 Workshop 

The next NIFTEP workshop will take place November 15-November 17, 2013 in Atlanta, Georgia.  More detailed information about the workshop theme is available on the Fall 2013 Workshop page.  The application period for this workshop has ended.
