Changes to Family and Medical Leave Policy

| The University's Family and Medical Leave Policy has been amended as of the August 2004 Board of Regents meeting. The policy now states that in order to be eligible for FMLA, an employee must have worked for the University System of Georgia a) for at least 12 months total; and b) for at least 1,250 hours during the 12-month period immediately preceding the commencement of such leave. Item b) is a modification from the previous version and equates to about 31.25 weeks of full-time service during the 12-month period immediately preceding the leave.
