COL alums accounted for one third of the list of 15 Georgia lawyers under the age of 40 the Fulton County Daily Report thinks you should know more about.

In the publication’s recent annual special edition On the Rise: 15 to Watch, top young attorneys from around the state were nominated by readers and selected for the elite list by the Daily Report editorial staff.

Of the 15 young lawyers to watch, five are Georgia State College of Law alumni including:

  • Mawuli M. Davis (’02)
    Partner
    The Davis Bozeman Law Firm

  • Harold E. Franklin Jr. (’99)
    Associate
    King & Spalding

  • Shukura Ingram (’98)
    Associate
    Thomas, Kennedy, Sampson & Patterson

  • Linley Jones (’92)
    Solo practitioner

  • Joseph K. Mulholland (’01)
    District Attorney
    South Georgia Circuit

According to the Daily Report, the young legal eagles were selected on the basis of an impeccable track record including verdicts won, settlements made, deals closed, systemic change launched in government or the nonprofit world, criminals incarcerated and defendants saved from jail.

“We think it speaks volumes to have our alumni recognized in this matter in the legal community,” noted Dean Steven Kaminshine. “These young lawyers are having an impact … they are making a statement with the quality of their work, and we are proud they are graduates of Georgia State Law.”
