Urban Fellows Program
The Urban Fellows Program is an initiative of the Center for the Comparative Study of Metropolitan Growth and is housed in Georgia State’s College of Law. Top graduate students from across the university are selected to participate in a monthly breakfast series with top decision makers in Atlanta and the region whose work and actions have a direct impact upon our physical and built environment - from Governors and state Commissioners to County Commission Chairs, School Superintendents, business leaders and directors of community action groups. Additionally, the Center sponsors regular speakers and academic symposia on issues related to urban affairs, all of which are open to Fellows. Finally, under the guidance of various Faculty Affiliates associated with the Program, Fellows develop a publishable quality paper on a topic of interest to them. Notable student research is made available online to law and policy makers in Georgia and elsewhere.
