Printing with the PatherPrint System
What is PantherPrint?
PantherPrint
is the GSU printing system requiring students to use their PantherID card
to print. Visitors must pay a small fee ($1.00) to purchase a guest card.
GSU Student PantherPrint Requirements:
- Students will automatically receive a set number of free black and white prints per semester. This number is set by the Student Technology Fee Committee and can vary from year to year. Print credits are not cumulative and will reset at the beginning of each semester.
- To pay for additional prints, your Panther ID card must be activated as a debit card (PantherCash). Go to Auxiliary Services Panther Card Office to in University Center Room Room 213 to activate your Panther ID Card.
- Prints will be 5 cents per page.
- Use the VTS (value transfer station) machine in the room 116 of the Law Library to add value to your card.
Visitor PantherPrint Requirements:
- You must purchase a guest card ($1.00) from the VTS (value transfer station) in room 116 of the Law Library in order to print.
- You must add value to the card
- Guest card can be used for printing in the public computing alcove or copying in the copy rooms.
- Guest cards do not expire; you can add value again and again.
- Prints are 5 cents per page.
- Copies are 8 cents per copy.
I have my PantherCard or Guest Card, How do I print?
- Choose print from the application. The computer will ask for a "job name" and a "job password".
- Go to one of the PantherPrint release station in the public computing alcove and swipe your PantherCard or Guest Card to activate the release station. All print jobs submitted to PantherPrint will display.
- Select your print job and click the print button. You will be prompted for the job's password. If you forgot it, you must resubmit another print job. The library staff cannot reset the password for a print job.
- PantherCard funds are verified, then the student's print job is printed at the printer next to the release station
- Print jobs are only held at the release station for an hour. After an hour the print job will be deleted.
