Alumni

Who can borrow?

Alumni borrowing is a service available only to graduates of Georgia State University. For $50.00 annually, alumni may borrow any circulating materials from GSU libraries. Alumni must request library borrowing privileges at the time of donation.

How can borrowing privileges be obtained?

Alumni must make a donation of $50.00 or more to the GSU Foundation. After making a donation, donors will receive a GSU Foundation acknowledgement letter and a donor card. Alumni who make their donations in person at the Office of Annual Giving will receive a temporary card that will enable them to borrow library books that same day. Alumni who make donations by a different method must wait 5 – 7 days for their donation to be processed. To activate Law Library borrowing privileges, alumni must bring their donor card to the Law Library Circulation Desk for activation with a barcode. At this time, they must also present photo ID. Borrowing privileges expire at the end of the fiscal year in which the donation was made.
