Services

Our area provides the following facility-related and operational services. Please contact York Singleton for these services at 404-413-9090.

  • Office moves
  • Recycling
  • Shredding confidential documents
  • Special Furniture setups – require at least 48 hours notice. This procedure usually involves a room reservation.
  • Records storage and retrieval - This includes exams, faculty evaluations and departmental records using the Regents guidelines for records management. Exam storage requires a form, download it here.
  • Maintenance and toner for copiers, faxes & faculty printers
  • Carpet cleaning*
  • Lighting*
  • HVAC issues*

*These items are handled by the University and require a work request to be placed. For general lights out and cleaning requests, you may call them directly at 404-413-0700.

Security

All emergencies, including medical emergencies, should be directed to Campus Security, at 1-3333 (404-413-3333). If it is a life threatening emergency, call (9) 911, and then the Campus Security Office at 1-3333 (404-413-3333). Building evacuation routes are posted on every floor of the Urban Life building. Visit the Office of Emergency Management for the campus emergency plan.

Parking

Once you have acquired a parking decal from Auxiliary Services, you may park in the lot you are assigned to, presumably Lot S. The S, K,and N lots are available after hours and on weekends but will not be staffed by a parking attendant. Lot G is the only manned parking deck on Saturday and Sunday. You have access to any parking lot after 4:00 pm during the week and can park in any manned or unmanned lot after that time by swiping your budget card or monthly parking decal.
