In February 2013, the US Supreme Court upheld the FTC's position on state action immunity in its challenge to an acquisition by the hospital authority that owns Phoebe Putney hospital in Albany. The panel will discuss Federal Trade Commission v. Phoebe Putney Health System, its potential impact on the health care industry in Georgia and nationally, and the future of the state action immunity defense.
