Tax Clinic Open House for Spring Semester 2013

Before you make a decision about your Spring 2013 schedule, come join us for pizza and get acquainted with the College's Philip C. Cook Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic "the Clinic". You will be able to exchange information with currently enrolled students as well as the staff and take a tour of our offices.  We're located on the first floor opposite to the Career Services Office.

This is a 3-Credit course which offers you the opportunity to gain practical experience while servicing low-income taxpayers who have disputes with the Internal Revenue Servcie. You don't necessarily have to be interested in a career in tax to take advantage of what the Clinic offer.  Particpation in the Clinic will give you valuable experience in interviewing clients, gathering facts, preparing legal documents, and organizing your thoughts for conferences wit the Appeals or Chief Counsel offices of the IRS.
