Bill PriggeAssistant Dean for Administration and FinanceBS University of Alabama (1983) MBA University of North Carolina, Greensboro (1990) PhD University of Nebraska (2006) Bill Prigge joined Georgia State University in 2003 as the College of Law's Chief Administrative Officer where he directs a service-focused organization that provides all administrative support functions to the entire College's faculty, staff and students. He completed his doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Higher Education from the University of Nebraska through their distributed education program. The title of his dissertation is "Establishing and Maintaining Successful Industry Partnerships at Research Universities." Prior to joining Georgia State, Prigge spent over 18 years in the telecommunications industry, holding positions in engineering, operations, project management, technical management, strategic planning, business development, and general management. In 2001, he made the transition from industry to higher education when he joined the Georgia Institute of Technology as the as the Chief Operating Officer for the Georgia Centers for Advanced Telecommunications Technology (GCATT). At GCATT, he served as the Executive Director's principal advisor and executive officer on all fiscal, facilities, personnel and administrative matters and as the unit's chief financial and administrative officer. While at Georgia Tech, he also served as the chief financial, administrative & business development officer for the Georgia Tech Broadband Institute (GTBI), an industry consortium and center of excellence in broadband communications research. |
