Trisha Kathleen KananInstructor of LawB.S., University of California, Los Angeles (1998) J.D., Pepperdine University School of Law (2001) Trisha Kanan teaches in the Research, Writing and Advocacy program. She graduated magna cum laude from UCLA with degrees in Mathematics and Philosophy in 1998. She attended Pepperdine University School of Law where she was the recipient of the Dean's Merit Scholarship. During law school, Professor Kanan served as Lead Articles Editor of the Pepperdine Law Review. She also worked as a judicial extern for the Hon. Dickran Tevrizian of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and the Hon. Harry Pregerson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She graduated cum laude in 2001. Upon graduation, Professor Kanan joined the Los Angeles office of Morrison & Foerster where she practiced labor and employment law, litigating wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation cases. In 2004, Professor Kanan joined Williams & Lynch in Richmond, Virginia where she served as an Associate until joining the law school faculty in 2006. |
