Kean J. DeCarlo

Adjunct Faculty

Kean DeCarlo is a shareholder at Needle & Rosenberg and leads both the mechanical and medical technology practice groups and is engaged exclusively in copyright, trademark and patent matters. Mr. DeCarlo earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Georgia State University College of Law in 1997, his M.B.A., with honors, from Golden Gate University, and a B.S., magna cum laude, in mechanical engineering from Clemson University. Before joining Needle & Rosenberg, Kean worked as a domestic and international commercial pilot for Delta Air Lines and as a fighter pilot with the United States Air Force.

Kean is an adjunct professor of Intellectual Property Law at Georgia State University College of Law. In addition, he is a registered patent attorney, and a member of the State Bar of Georgia and its Technology Law Section Executive Committee, the Copyright Society of the U.S., the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Southeast Medical Device Association.
