Michael T. Davis

Michael T. Davis joined the College of Law Library in August 2007 as the reference librarian. In this position Michael provides research support to the law faculty, supervises the library graduate research assistants, directs the management of the library stacks and coordinates the reserve materials. Michael teaches the Legal Bibliography course, trains members of the law school and university communities on legal research and resources in addition to providing legal reference services.

Prior to joining the team at Georgia State Univerisity, Michael worked as the government documents coordinator at the Arthur Neef Law Library at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. His introduction to law librarianship came through his work with pre-trial detainees in the New York City Department of Correction—Rikers Island where he worked in and maintained institutional law libraries.

Michael is an active member of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) and the Southeastern Chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries (SEAALL). He is also a member of the Atlanta Law Libraries Association.
