Lindsey Churchill

Lindsey is an Attorney with InterContinental Hotels Group. Until recently, Lindsey served as an Assistant General Counsel to the Atlanta Independent School System (known publically as Atlanta Public Schools or APS).

At APS, Lindsey represented the Superintendent and Atlanta Board of Education in a wide range of litigation matters, including claims alleging violation of the First Amendment, due process violation claims under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, employment discrimination claims, whistleblower retaliation claims, and business disputes. Lindsey regularly conducted administrative hearings under Georgia’s Fair Dismissal Act and handled appeals of employee and student disciplinary matters before the State Board of Education. Lindsey advised education clients on matters involving employment law, disability law, FERPA, student discipline, teacher discipline, tenure, and risk management.

Before joining APS, Lindsey was a litigation associate at the Atlanta office of Holland & Knight LLP, where she focused on complex commercial litigation and education-related employment law matters. Lindsey was recognized as a Georgia Super Lawyer “Rising Star” for the years 2007 and 2008. Lindsey serves on the Graduate Leadership Council of the Georgia State University College of Law.

Lindsey is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and American Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in the State and Superior Courts of the State of Georgia, Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court, United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Lindsey received her B.S., summa cum laude, from East Tennessee State University in 1998 and her J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law in 2003.
